Deputy Director for Strategy, Analysis and Reform, Central Digital and Data Office (CDDO)

As Deputy Director for Strategy, Analysis and Reform in the Central Digital and Data Office (Cabinet Office), Samantha has responsibility for setting strategic direction for the c.23,000 digital, data and technology (DDaT) professionals in Government, working hand in hand with other departments and teams on a daily basis.

Samantha champions a data-driven approach to decision making and digital service delivery in Government through the incredible work of the analysts and economists in her team. This approach helps to demonstrate CDDOs evidence-driven approach and brings credibility when engaging with senior leaders such as CDIOs, Permanent Secretaries and Ministers. Her department works closely with these stakeholders, in order to shape future direction for digital in government and to land CDDOs goals, aspirations and direction.

Her intention is to drive pace and quality of digital delivery across government by removing bureaucratic blockers, building consensus for change and championing a future where digital delivery and policy work hand in hand to create services that work for everyone and are designed with digital readiness in mind.
